Had mine for over a year.. flawless performance until I dropped it on the concrete floor. Will be ordering a new one very soon.

I like it.
I dropped a bucket on mine in the sink. Will be ordering asap. I have a spare without the thermometer. I hate it.I really like having the ability to adjust my readings based on the temp of the wort sample. Sure you can't test it right out of the mash. Just let it cool some while your brewing. Never been a problem. Best is right after you cool your wort so you have an accurate reading before you pitch the yeast.

buy this hydrometer
i ended up buying two hydrometers this one and one of the precision ones. the precision one would not fit in my test tube then on top of that it did not go up high enough to show the number that i needed for my starting gravity. anyways ended up ordering one of these its allot smaller and has a much bigger range which is great for all of those big beers that i like to brew. dont be scared order this one

Needs some Quality Control
My latest one reads 1.004 in 60 degree water and has small bits of the lead weight and glue rattling around inside. The previous one read 1.002 in 60 degree water ... until I broke it.

Therm doesn't work
Got mine and it has a bubble right in the middle of the therm and no matter what I do I can't get it to move. So it's just pretty much a hydro.

still needs qc
hydrometer reads 1.002 in 60 degree water. also thermometer peaks at 120f so testing samples right out of the mash tune still requires a separate thermometer.
