Three piece air locks
We like them much better than the stand version we started with because they can be fit more tightly into the bottle without having the liquid all go to one side or the other. Makes carrying the full carboys much easier with a tight fit. Easier to clean than the standard version. Great product. We're switching over entirely to this product.

It does what it should
Bought 6 of these when I was in the shop about a month ago. There cheap, and if I break one I have some back ups. It's plastic, so I don't expect them to last forever. Hence the reason for the back ups.

Cheap as these are, there's no reason not to have a few extra on your shelf at any given time. Super easy to use and clean.

Easier to clean than the alternative style and fits the one gallon fermenter caps well.

Best option for airlocks
Easy to take apart, clean, and fill. They are plastic so handle with care when removing from a stopper. Buy a few - they are cheap and get the job done!

Cheap, effective - worth having multiples
I bought this one because I wasn't sure if my last one had a crack in it. It didn't, but they're cheap and it's definitely worth it to get multiple.

BEST ANSWER: I've never put the airlock into the dishwasher. I have always had washed with warm water. At the end of the day the most important thing is to make sure all airlock pieces and the rubber gromet air put into sanitizer before being placed on the fermenter
We just purchased this kit to make 5 gallon batches. Now, we are trying to determine what additional equipment will be needed to make a 1 gallon batch instead. So far we have the 2 gallon kettle, Little Big Mouth Bubbler and airlock (fermentation), and 2 gallon bucket (bottling) which I have referenced below. Is there any siphoning/tubing, etc. we will need for this smaller set up that we cannot use from the 5 gallon Brew Share Enjoy Starter Kit? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: I went from 5 gallon to 1 gallon brewing some time ago. Since then I have moved to 3 gallon brewing. My point is I'm working off of memory. From memory I think the only additional equipment I needed was the fermenting bucket. I also bought a 1 gallon carboy that needed a new rubber stopper but the airlocks from the 5 gallon still worked fine. I used the same hoses/tubing. As far as I can remember all I needed additionally was the 1) bucket. 2)carboy 3) rubber stopper for the carboy
Is there a fill line?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is a fill line, yes. I like these airlocks and use them exclusively.
is the cap with a hole for the jug inc
K O on Dec 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, you have to purchase a rubber stopper to fit the jug or carboy opening that has a hole through the stopper, and then insert the assembled airlock into the hole.
