Carafa I Malt

Added a very nice flavor to a Munich Dunkel I used it in.

For the love of darkness

Carafa I Malt iby Weyermann is always in my brewing arsonal for making Dunkles and Porters. And it brews dry. I've used countless combinations and without this the brew falls short. I've dumped my fair share.

Weyerman German Dehusked Carafa Malt

The finished product was smooth and flavorful without any stringent or harsh notes. Was very pleased with the result of using the dehusked version and will do so again with future Munich Dunkel brews

Carafa I

Rich chocolaty and coffee notes, dark toasty, only very slightly bitter. Gave me a fairly dark color being the only roasted malt at 10% of the grist in my dark saison. I'd recommend this product highly to avoid the acrid qualities of other roasted grains.
