Made My Best Beer!
I brewed a 5 Gallon ESB and fermented with this yeast with no starter. Dropped my OG 1.062 to FG 1.019. Tasted amazing! Wonderful malt flavors, and bright, clear beer. I just pitched a new pack after a 3 step starter to chew through 6 gallons of OG 1.090. fermenting at 64*F. High hopes for this Awesome strain!

Highly Flocculant, did well without starter
Fermented my Redhook ESB clone from 1066 to 1016 with no starter, very flocculant and finished beer is crystal clear. Vigorous fermentation

Excellent English style yeast
Beautiful aroma, ferments well, fruity flavors, pleasant malty notes. I experienced some high attenuation with this strain. I fermented on the higher side of the temperature range, around 74 degrees, and got a lot of fruitiness out of it. I started with a bitter and saved the yeast so I can step up to a brown ale next. I can't wait.

Pairs well with simcoe and cascade hops.
Excellent quality as with all wyeast products. Its fruity notes pair very well with simcoe and cascade to produce a distinct, clear, grapefruit flavored American (Colorado?) IPA.

Excellent for Fuller's London Pride
I brewed a London Pride clone with this and it came out great. Clean and tasty.

The BEST yeast available
I have been home brewing for almost 5 years now and 1968 is the BEST all around yeast there is.I have used it for everything from bitter to porter to American pale and IPA to summer ale to stock ale. Try it with any wheat beer for a very malty, fruity and refreshing beer. I have even made a decent faux-lager with it. pretty much the only beer that it does not play along fantastically with is stout.I am cheap so I like to use 1968 from one beer and then repitch another on top of it. Start with a bitter and go to a pale then a porter! I have reused the yeast up to 4 times without significant change. This is a great yeast for all brewers, if you have not tried it yet, use it in your next batch. You won't regret it!Cheers
Good "standard" english style yeast
I have started to move away from wet yeasts due to shelf-life, ease of use and shipping issues. I find safale 04 and 05 adequate for most American and English style ales...That being said, there are some styles that just need a liquid yeast to be perfect. So when something calls for an ESB yeast, there is nothing like 1968.
