Great stuff
I used this yeast to make a Papazians "Klibbety Jibbett". This yeast ferments quickly and vigorously. I started fermenting at 58 dropping to 50 for 3 wks then racked to secondary and lagered around 40 for 3 more. Finished beer was, smooth, creamy, and a big hit with the light beer drinkers. Very bright. There are some estery notes which continued to develop over the 3 weeks or so this beer existed. Not sure if this was due to the corn in the recipe or the yeast. Great Pilsner yeast!

Nice and crisp
Used this yeast in my own Pilsener recipe. Came out great even though I exceeded the recommended temperature a bit during fermentation (don't have refrigeration, so have to rely on ambient temperature being low enough). I lagered at 10-16C for 6 weeks. The beer is nice, crispy and clean, no off tones whatsoever.

Good Strong Starter and Finisher
I double pitched 2 of these into a 4L starter for a Bohemian Pilsner recipe. It ran on a stir plate for 36 hours and was completely finished. It crashed completely in the fridge after 24 hours for decanting purposes. This strain was a fast starter and fermented strong for 10 days. The final gravity from a 1.057 OG was 1.013, so it finished well considering my 154 degree mash rest. The malt and hop balance are fantastic with t his strain. It also clears bright in a short amount of time. I will use it again. I Followed this ferment regimen for my batch: Fermented at 48, dropped to 45 at high krausen, then to 40 for three days at late krausen, no diacetyl rest required.

Fermenting pilsner urquell? Duration and temperature?
A shopper on Mar 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: For the first use of the yeast pack, ferment for 12 days at 48F. For second or third use, stop ferment when wort reaches 1.015. The 12-12-12 rule applies to Pilsner Urquell: ferment for 12 days at 12C, then lager for 12 weeks. Good luck!
