We’re in the face of an epidemic where Citra is the only cure—but it’s been hidden under lock and key! We’ve hoarded every last bit we could get our hands on and thrown it into a limited quantity of Zombie Dirt kits—as many as we could make with dwindling stores of the harvest. Act now and save yourself! Brew as much Zombie Dirt as you can before it’s too late.

One whiff of the infectious aromatics is enough to reanimate the dead. Zombie Dirt is a ballad to the epicly hard-to-find pale ale of the Midwest, an epidemic centered just outside of Chicago. Loaded with pure Citra hops, this pale ale is rarer than zombified-unicorn dust.

Staggering citrus, melon and passion fruit come alive in this pale, single-hop Citra showcase. Toasty malt limps in the background as the apocalyptic bite of grapefruit-honeydew hop character lurches forward. Zombie Dirt is the only defense against homebrew hunger, but a single pint is never enough protection.

  • Brewed with 100% Citra hops.
  • Moderate bittering additions and large late kettle additions push the aroma of this beer to the maximum.
  • Flavors and aromas of tropical fruits and citrus dominate, but are well balanced by the slightly toasty malt character brought forth by the addition of Munich malt.
  • This is a beer intended to be consumed very fresh - the hop character will fade quickly with age.

Yummy!
I put one in the fridge and cracked her open today (day 12 of bottle conditioning) and even a little early, this tasted excellent. If you don't like cirtus (grapefruit especially) then you will not like this beer. The citrus is very pronounced in both aroma and taste. My batch does not have quite enough bitterness to offset the grapefruit, but maybe after the rest of the bottles finish their conditioning everything will even out a bit.

Highly recommended. Easy to brew. Tastes great. Probably would benefit from secondary or a clearing agent, but if you don't mind cloudy (and yummy) beer, then leave it in primary.

90% Cleaning, 10% Brewing
This kit was super easy to do. I bought 2, 1 gallon batches, followed the directions step by step, and was left with a delicious, aromatic, IPA. The directions are extremely concise. As long as all of your equiptment is well cleaned and sanitized, anybody could make this kit without any issue.

This just became my go to beer to brew !!
I like a malty flavored beer with a decent hit of hops. I've brewed this twice now & I accelerate the hops additions to achieve more of that flavor. I also steep the grains longer since I like that amber color. At bottling time, I add fresh grapefruit zest and after about 10 days, it is ready to drink !!

Delicious clone of a great beer!
I was curious to try this after hearing so much about Three Floyds Zombie Dust. I was hard pressed to find anyone that did not like the brew. And it has a pretty catchy name.

The aroma and flavor is incredible. This is the kind of brew that would make a GREAT air freshener. There is a very strong citrusy presence that hits you upfront. Almost like drinking a grapefruit beer, with a slight orange rind and piney after taste.

Delicious and sessionable beer. Would pair very well with spicy foods. This is a great go to beer for any occasion, I highly recommend it.

This beer is actually an American Pale Ale even though many reviews here are calling it an IPA. It is not what you would typically expect from an APA, but it is one none the less.

Great IPA......
Great kit, I fermented in primary for one week, another week in secondary. Has been conditioning gorgeous 1 and half weeks, sipped some of the beer when getting F.G and tasted real real good can't wait to drink a carbonated one.
