5 star considering
This 5 star needs an explanation. This gets 5 stars because it works perfect for small batch, kit brewing on a stovetop. Might work for a small BIAB as well but I didn't try it.

I just used it for my all grain mashout and its the perfect size for that as I needed 1.5 gallons.

Its actually pretty thin but I think that helps with a low output stovetop. If you get into brewing this is a great starter and as I mentioned you can use it WHEN you move up to all grain.

Not bad
It is a well made kettle for its purpose, but even for 1 gallon batches it is pretty small. I used this for two 1 gallon recipe kits and both boiled over after adding hops. I would recommend a slightly bigger pot even for 1 gallon brews.

Great little kettle for small brewing!
The only reason for the 4 is the light weight, however, for the money, no complaints! Just making small volume beers today and this is just right. With my induction heater (1800W) it is perfect. It is stainless, I think, but magnetic which allows me to use the induction heater.

8 quart pot
After first use,I washed the interior and exterior with Dawn and a washcloth. I rinsed thoroughly with hot water. Before the next brew I noted the interior surface of the pot turned dark. Thinking nothing of it, I brewed another one gallon batch and noted an darkened color in the beer. There was a strong metallic smell in the beer and I ended up dumping it. The pot had the same smell on the inside. I will not be using the pot again..

We just purchased this kit to make 5 gallon batches. Now, we are trying to determine what additional equipment will be needed to make a 1 gallon batch instead. So far we have the 2 gallon kettle, Little Big Mouth Bubbler and airlock (fermentation), and 2 gallon bucket (bottling) which I have referenced below. Is there any siphoning/tubing, etc. we will need for this smaller set up that we cannot use from the 5 gallon Brew Share Enjoy Starter Kit? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: I went from 5 gallon to 1 gallon brewing some time ago. Since then I have moved to 3 gallon brewing. My point is I'm working off of memory. From memory I think the only additional equipment I needed was the fermenting bucket. I also bought a 1 gallon carboy that needed a new rubber stopper but the airlocks from the 5 gallon still worked fine. I used the same hoses/tubing. As far as I can remember all I needed additionally was the 1) bucket. 2)carboy 3) rubber stopper for the carboy
