How much does this make G R on Sep 29, 2015 BEST ANSWER: The quick answer is 1 to 5 gallons, depending on your recipe. For a medium bodied wine, 5 gallon batch, it would require 2 cans and about 2.5 to 2.75 pounds of sugar. A recent recipe I used was 1 can, 1 pound of sugar, 1 can of frozen grape concentrate (Welches in your frozen food section), acid blend, yeast nutrient, and bentonite. With a 2.25 gallon batch, this should give me about 10% ABV with a good medium body. I hope that helps.
