Response from Northern Brewer
We are sorry if the opening of the Better Bottle is different than expected. It works with a drilled rubber stopper (#SD10) or a medium universal bung (#40490).

Great Carboys
I've been using Better Bottle carboys, from 3 to 6 gallon, for several years and find them to be of high quality and easy to use. Have tried other brands of PET carboys and in comparison they do not stand up to BB's.

The top looks larger than a glass carboy,is it? If so what type stopper too does it need?
Carl B on Oct 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for contacting Northern Brewer. I understand you would like to know the size stopper needed for the Better Bottle. It is a #10 stopper or a Medium Universal Stopper. There should be a link to them on the Better Bottle web page. Cheers!
What is the melting point of this bottle? Also is it safe with hot water in it?
A shopper on Oct 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend going above 140F.
