what....no test jar?
"The Brewery Essentials Herculometer™ Advanced Gravity Test kit has it all"

Well it doesn't really have it all as there is no test jar included. I guess I didn't read the fine print. But it's not in the fine print either. The hydrometers seem adequate and I like the fact that they should be relatively drop proof. The flimsy plastic stand is.... well, just that. You'd think for $45 a test jar might be included. I was disappointed in that regard.

Not accurate...
I was so excited to get these these...until I calibrated them in distilled water and found them all to be a uniform 2 specific gravity points off. All my other hydrometers - except one - read correctly in distilled water. MNot sure what they are calibrating them in, but it isn't distilled water. aybe they are being made at someplace well above sea level and the pressure change is altering the calibration. I live near the ocean about 100 meters above sea level. Because of that I would give it 2 stars, but I am going with 3 because for sure I won't be breaking these. I already dropped one and it just bounced.

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for contacting Northern Brewer. I understand you would like the temperature to calibrate the hydrometers. That temperature is 60 degrees. Cheers!
