Broke after 10 gallons
I thought this was a good purchase and the capper helped me fly through a 5 gallon batch easily (22 oz bottles and a few swing cap growlers). The following weekend I bottled another batch, roughly 30 22oz bottles, and the plastic connector between the metal capper and spring broke completely rendering it useless.

The silver lining here is the recognition that I should just graduate to kegging... so thanks?

Detent problem with this capper...
Great tool, once you have it set, my capper does not engage the release very well for the up/down adjustment.

Capping made easy
Worked great. Easy operation and all bottles capped securely. Great addition to brewing tools.

I used this bench capper for the first time about 5 mins ago. I'm new to homebrewing, so I don't know if maybe I was doing something wrong...but I could not get this bench capper to work. I bought this capper along with the go pro one gallon kit. I used the wing capper that came with the kit instead. Im very disappointed with the super agata. I read so many good reviews about it, but it fell short of my expectations.

Came with a bended bell
Bought this from NB. It was supposed to replace a wing capper. Before gong into an actual batch bottling, did a few test with empty bottles. Neither 12 oz or 750 cc champagne bottles were rightly capped. All caps were leaking, no matter what I did.

After checking the bell, noticed that it was bended, not completely round. Now, I have an expensive door stopper at home.

great way to cut down your capping time
This works really well and has really sped up my capping process. Be sure to put a little vegetable oil on the crown before use to cut down on caps trying to stick once capped. Not all caps seal well with this capper. The cheap caps won't seal. So far, I've had the best luck with the cold activated caps. Not one of those has failed yet.

Long time
I haven't used it but I did toy with it a bit and seems sturdy and reliable. I can't wait start capping my beers.

Big Improvement
Big Improvement over the hand held capper. Although not sure if it crimps as well as the handheld unit. I use the red plug to locate the capper just over the bottle, reduces stroke length. Overall I like it and wont be using the handheld anymore.

Does this capper need to be bolted down
S K on Sep 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It can be used mounted or free. It has 4 pre-drilled holes in the corners of the base. But it works great free, which is how I've used it for 12oz up to 750ml belgian bottles. Capper that is included is for regular bottles, but it can be replaced to cap the 29mm huge Lindeman's bottles too (sold separately), which is what I use it for a lot.
Can I use this to cap 500ml Zywiec bottles?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I've used it to cap a few random Zywiec bottles. The process may go more smoothly with the 29mm bell, but I'm bottling with various sized bottles every batch (1/2 L, 12 oz, 22 oz) and am too lazy to change bells. I do have to write off a few extra bottle caps to make sure I have a good seal, but I'm okay with that.
Are the threads for the bell plastic or metal?
N A on Sep 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The female threading on the bell is metal, the male threads that it fastens on to are plastic.
can this be used as a corker for wine bottles?
P J on Nov 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No it's a capper it does not move far enough to cork
What size bell do I need for capping Coke bottles?
A shopper on Jan 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would think the supplied bell will work OK. I have capped tall and short 12 oz bottles, and the 16 oz bottles just fine. The only issue I ran into was adjusting the capper height for the different size bottles.
What size bell comes with it?
A shopper on Jan 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The included bell uses the standard 26mm caps.
Is this compatible with a European bell?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2016
Does it come with the larger bell for 29mm caps?
D F on Sep 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The 29mm capper bell is not included. It is compatible with a standard thread on 29mm capper bell
