Works well, but clogs quickly
got three. Get at least 2 if you pick these up because they clog quickly and you need to swap them out very frequently especially as you get to the last few inches of your wort where all the gunk is. You have to pour the wort in slowly too because once it's clogged , that's it. Swap out as soon as you see it getting clogged. Rinse at the sink and then sanitize while you replace with the another one. It is very much a chore, but you end up keeping a lot of crap out of your fermentor.

Not impressed...
These screens may serve a purpose at some point, but it's definitely not when you are trying to transfer to primary after your boil. I've used a fine mesh kitchen strainer for a while to strain out the hops during transfer and wanted to see if these would simplify the job. They clogged in about half a second, because the mesh is so fine. These might be better served as a filter from secondary to bottling bucket after a dry hop. We'll see...

Save the $2.00
Pretty much useless. Clogged within seconds of x-fer out of my brew kettle. Save your money.

It works too well...Fine Screen clogs VERY fast!
They fit into the funnel real well. However, we poured Wort VERY slowly and screen clogged after 1/2 gallon of Caribou Slobber. We bought 4 screens, changed out two, but really too much hassle. Maybe using a hop bag into kettle and then when racking to primary, use sterilized cheesecloth to filter. The funnel is very nice however.

Clogs easily
The screen does the job it is intended to do, but it clogs very easily. I found that I had to clean it out several (4-5) times while pouring my 3 gallon extract brew into the carboy. It filters out a lot of junk sitting in the wort, but it has to be cleaned out several times as well.

Catches the crud for cleaner beer.
I use this when transferring from brew kettle to primary fermenter, then from primary to bottling bucket. Filters out the extra crud and makes for cleaner beer.

Cheap and easy
I bought three of these and threw them into my bucket of sanitizer. Stuck one into the funnel and started pouring in wort at a slowish pace. The mesh screen is about the right fineness to keep out most of the break material. I use a bag for the hops, so I'm not dealing with hop sludge, which I think would make this less feasible. But I found it really easy to pour in the wort till the flow slows, pop out the screen, and put in a new one. I ended using about 2 screens per gallon. Once they're used up, I rinse them off in the sink then throw them back in the sanitizer. Having 3 makes it much less of hassle. With just one, you'd be stopping all the time. They're only $0.99, so I recommend getting a few.

Use with a strainer too
Clogs fairly easily, but I have a strainer for the heavy stuff. For filtering what goes through the funnel, this does the job.
