Product details

Wyeast 1187 Ringwood Ale is a European ale yeast with unique fermentation and flavor characteristics. Distinct fruit ester and high flocculation provide a malty complex profile, which clears well. Thorough diacetyl rest is recommended after fermentation is complete.

Apparent attenuation: 68-72%. Flocculation: high. Optimum temp: 64°-74° F

NOTE: During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Ringwood Ale Yeast

This is a great yeast. It took a bit for it to begin fermenting but when it started, it took off like a rocket. Over two weeks in the primary fermenter and it’s still going pretty good. I didn’t make a yeast starter and pitched it directly into the wort but it did what it’s supposed to do.
