Big bag of CaCl for a good price.
I Received a good sized 1 lb bag of Calcium Chloride that has worked well to adjust PH and mineral content of my wort for several batches so far.. I use about a third of an oz/5gal batch, so It will last a while.

How does the granularity of this CaCl compare to that sold under other brands such as Ball® Pickle Crisp or Mrs. Wages Xtra Crunch? Yep, makin' pickles.

BEST ANSWER: Same size, so you should be good.
Hi. I'm spraying Easter Lilies for leaf scorch. I'm wondering the amt. of C. Ch., per gal. of h2o, that equals 200ppm? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Hello Mike,

Thank you for choosing Northern Brewer! That calculation can get somewhat complex depending on the source of your calcium chloride and its concentration/molarity, and if you want 200ppm of the calcium or of the chloride. If you are using the calcium chloride that we sell, you will need 2 grams of product to get your calcium levels up to just under 200 ppm, this will also contribute 254 ppm of chloride to your. I am assuming that you want the calcium from this solution for your plants to help with the scorching. Hopefully this is already not an issue from N scorching. So realistically, you could mix this into solution, and increase the temperature, the chloride will then volatilize out of solution if I am not mistaken. This might not be completely true, it has been a few years since received my plant biology degree so I am a little bit rusty! For a more definite answer, I might contact a local master gardener, or local extension service. I hope that this is helpful!
