Product Details

Double circuit aluminum cold plate with two lines of 18 feet each of embedded 5/16" O.D. x 1/4" I.D. stainless steel tubing for maximum cooling efficiency. Specifically designed for the correct resistance in a beer system: 18' of 1/4" stainless steel tubing equals roughly 6 lbs. of resistance. The stainless interior won't corrode and is easy to keep sanitary, while the outside has a smooth, easy-to-clean finish. We recommend 2 feet of 3/8 vinyl tubing for each beer inlet and 2 feet of 3/16 vinyl tubing for each outlet to the faucets.

Fittings are not included and must be ordered separately.

what size are the male flared fittings for this plate?
C H on Dec 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are a weird thread size. I believe 1/2" by 16 TPI. The correct fittings are K228 and K229. Hope this helps! Cheers! James J.
I purchased this plate and have been extremely happy with it. However, I ran into a minor problem last summer when using it to serve an IPA. When racking from the secondary, an appreciable amount of hops particles (in suspension from dry-hopping) made their way into the keg. They all settled to the bottom just fine, but got stirred up again when transporting the keg to a party. I am now concerned that there may be some bits of hops stuck inside the tubing inside the plate. What would you recommend as the most effective way to clean this? PBW, BLC, or something else? Thanks.
Mark P on Jun 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: the best way to clean this out would be to run a solution of PBW backwards through the system. This should remove the hop material from the plate chiller.
What are the outside dimensions of the plate? I have a smaller cooler, and want this to lay flat on the bottom.
M A on Sep 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The dimension of the cold plate are as follows: 16.1" L x 10.2" W x 3.2" H.
