Product details

The Craft Hard Cider recipe kit from Mangrove Jack’s has the taste of delicious orchard pears, light and crisp with a juicy pear bite. Fresh strawberries coupled with juicy pear. This cider is sweet and fruity, especially good when served chilled on a hot summer's eve. This traditional style hard pear cider (perry) can be served still, or with carbonation to make a refreshingly spritzy drink.

Served lightly carbonated, cider pairs exceptionally well with food. Fresh cheese, leafy greens, seafood morsels and anything slow-cooked, smoked or barbecued will perfectly complement the boozy apple nectar of fall.

Each of Mangrove Jack’s cider varieties has been formulated with only the freshest and best quality fruit which is then pressed and concentrated using state of the art evaporators, and then cold filled into a pouch. All this effort we go to ensures that the natural flavor of the fruit is preserved, giving you cider which is fresh, crisp and especially good on a hot summer's day.

If you don't like pears, just remember a cider a day also keeps the doctor away.

Note: 2 lbs of Dextrose is required for proper fermentation. Other sugars, like brown sugar, can be used.

Strawberry Pear Cider

This was very easy to put together, and tastes very good. Not too acidic, sweet to semi-sweet using the whole sweetener packet. I bottled in standard 12 oz beer bottles and used about 5 oz of corn sugar to prime the 5 gal batch, and it is very fizzy at 2 weeks. Great deal on sale.

Great cider!

The cider kit works well! Purchased two of them. Learned from the first batch that once done fermenting to go ahead and add the flavoring pack and wait a couple days then bottle. Great kit with everything you need right in the package!

Great Kit

The cider was for a family vacation and they all loved it! Dropped fairly clear & fermentation was completed without issue.

A honey of a cider

Friends and family loved this cider. I only did half-sweet this time, which seemed to be a big plus. I also added honey during the brew cycle, which adds a little extra flavor.
