The next step up from Dubbel in the monastic beer classification, Tripel is higher in alcohol than Dubbel but is actually lighter in color and body. The addition of clear candi sugar dilutes the malt bill, which helps preserve the golden color and makes the body deceptively light for a beer of this strength. Spicy and fruity with a gentle sweetness and hints of alcohol throughout leading to a dry and mildly bitter finish.

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

5 gallon of great beer

This is the second time brewing with all grain ingredients. The beer turned out incredibly smooth tasting with a wonderful malty- saltiness flavor. Typically I brew beers with my son who thinks all grain brewing is time intensive. So we decided to give a version of a Belgian triple from brewers best to do a comparison. I just hope we have some of this beer left to compare with.

Bad brew day - great brew

My electric brew pot got clogged during Sacch rest so I had to switch to the bag method, and several other things did not go my way on brew day. Amazingly, after boil the OG hit the target and after fermentation the brew was excellent!
