Kind of sweet. Very good.
Great attenuation! Hit 8% ABV. My kind of IPA
This came out great. The mango and tropical flavors from the Mosaic really shine through on this one. I put it on a WLP-550 yeast cake from a batch of the Le Petite Orange that I had just transferred to a secondary. Fermentation took off strong right away and finished off with a F.G. of 1.015. Also I backed off the hops a little, giving just about 45 IBU's. As I said I love it and will brew this one again.
It might be the high ABV, but seems to be more hot/harsh than tasty. Probably won’t order again and will opt for more of the many other tasty brews offered by Northern Brewer.
BIAB method, but I made 1/2 the recipe since my other fermenters were busy. Came out great - hit 1.010 and came in at 8.8% ABV. A bit strong, but tasty. Complex flavors, not too fruity, and a subtle dry bite - not too malty. Drinking one as I write this. One more and I'm out! Good deal on sale. Now I have to make the other half and I just might tweak it with a citra or galaxy addition/dry hop.
