Works better for some beers than others

I got this when it first came out because I had a gift card that I'd received for Christmas. I also have the counterpressure filler from MB. I use the CPF for competitions where minimal CO2 loss is important to me, but I was hoping to use The Last Straw for casual bottle filling. It works well, but it can be temperamental with more highly carbonated beers and/or full bodied beers. For example, I tried using it on a big Russian Imperial Stout and i was losing about 50% of the bottle's volume in foam. On the other hand, I used it on an American Pale and it worked great. So it does work, but it doesn't work great for all beers. .

Few bumps in the road at first but works great after a few uses and trial and error.

    All Foam, No Beer

I am beyond pissed off with this total waste of money. I’ve tried to use it three different times with absolutely no success whatsoever. I’ve absolutely had it with wasting money on anything bottling related. I’m strictly sticking to kegs which always work.

No matter what you do with this thing, it simply spits foam and fills your bottle with it. You cannot get ANY beer in the bottle with this thing. I purchased the foam less finish to see if it would help but it does nothing whatsoever. I have tried turning down the PSI to 2, 4, 6 & 8. No difference. Complete crap. Don’t waste your money.

Foaming issues are generally caused by over carbonated beer. We recommend using a keg carbonation chart to dial in the level for beers that are intended to be bottled. Customer service would love to hear from you get that fixed up by either correcting a carbonation issue or replacing the faulty equipment. Cheers!
