Brewing this recipe kit is much easier than slaying any dragon, thanks to an abundance of premium ingredients and brewmaster know-how. Dragon's silk

While I do like the kit, having brewed 3 of them, I find it hard to get the FG anywhere close to what it should be.I have always used ample amounts of yeast and waited until there was no more activity, while keeping the temp in the appropriate range. FG usually ends up to be about 1.030.

Perfect Christmas beer

Was looking for a perfect beer to celebrate Christmas. Always like big bold bourbon stouts around the holiday. This beer fit right in to our plans. Big bold bourbon flavor with nice malty sweetness. This beer can't be rushed. Four weeks after bottling seemed thin with an overly heavy bourbon flavor. Drinkable but not quite there. Waited 4 more weeks. PERFECT!!. Seems to get better every week.

Excellent

Brewed and aged according to the recipe. Just had the first bottle tonight. Love this beer. I will be making this beer on a regular rotation. I love stouts and porters and this is very, very good.

Suddenly... Outstanding!

I had high hopes for this brew, having thoroughly enjoyed its inspiration. After two months fermentation and two months in the keg, it seemed light-weight, almost watery.. Then all of a sudden, it became absolutely amazing; the best stout I've ever tasted. Rich, thick, dark, roasty. A creamy and rocky head. And it continues to evolve, week after week. Tonight, it was intensely smoky and rich - a real sipping glass full.
This one takes patience, but it is worthwhile. Mmmm.

Worth the wait

Brewed just in time for New Years and it didn't disappoint. Tried it with Dragons Milk and mine was just a little sweeter but very similar in taste. Looking forward to seeing how the flavor profile changes as it ages.
