Lemondrop Saison Extract Beer Recipe Kit
It's time to meet your new warm-weather squeeze -- a clean, classic saison with a refreshing citrusy twist. Treat your taste buds to Lemondrop Saison. Like so many perfect pairings, this recipe unites two halves to achieve a greatness neither could ever reach on their own. Like peanut butter and jelly. Mac and cheese. Hall & Oates.
Pronounced flavors of lemon, melon and herbal undertones make Lemondrop hops a natural fit for the fruity esters and spicy phenolics inherent to the classic Saison style. Pouring with perfect synergy, Lemondop Saison shines a deep golden color, with moderate bitterness, a dry finish and an astounding depth of flavor. Bright, complex and absolutely quenchable, quaffable? We mean you will thoroughly enjoy drinking it. Preferably on a porch swing. Be sure to ferment this recipe on the warm side to ensure full flavor development and enjoy it while the sun shines.

Delicious! I use 16 oz snap cap bottles so my first concern is “are they carbonated?” YES they were! Whew ... favor is great for late spring/early summer in upstate NY where a mid-weight beer is perfect this time of year.
I like it, Ive gotten comments from friends that it is pretty good. I used Wyeast 3711 and got about 8%. Bubbled hard for almost 2 weeks.
Wish it had more Lemon drop hops for a dry hopping in secondary. I had to modify the recipe. But also I added fresh lemon/lime zest in with this batch. Came out good.
Brewed this kit for 1st time, it came out great. Great Lemon flavor for a great Saison twist. Will definitely brew again. Mine came out at 7.6% following the recipe, my primary fermentation was 7 days and secondary was about 10. Tried first one after 9 days after bottle and tasted great.
Awesome taste! Took 6 weeks of waiting, but it was worth it! Great body and taste!
