Oktoberfest Extract Beer Recipe Kit
This famous German style is stronger than an everyday lager and is the fuel for Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world. The original pre-industrial Oktoberfest was called Märzenbier, brewed at the end of the brewing season in the spring to be lagered in caves all summer for fall and harvest festivities. Our kit will give you a full-bodied and elegant red-amber beer with a subdued German noble hop bitterness and complex malty profile that great all year round.
Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

First time brewing beer and choose a kit that involved two stages of fermentation - not a good starter. Might have been my hurried selection, but I didn't see anything that warned me of the complication, temperature requirements, etc. Fortunately, received good counsel to change yeast and roll with the kit. So far, so good. Bottled, tastes good. Looking forward to the next batch.
This was a great beer to brew, an easy way to get into lagering and a great end result.
Very smooth brew. Even my lager friends totally enjoyed this brew.
This was brewed at room temperature and tastes great anyway. I have no means to chill it to lager temps.
I purchased the Wyeast 2633 and followed the directions sent in the box. Come to find out that those directions are not correct if using the liquid yeast. When I discussed my issues with the fermentation with the Brewmasters, I was told to not use the directions in the box but rather follow the Wyeast website for pitching the yeast. I got info as in "budding, respiration/metabolism, two packs would be required, and if I had pictures of the wort in the fermenter". This pack was definitely not as advertised.
