Used for a southern English brown. I pitched at 75 degrees, and quickly dropped to 68 for ferment. I had visible krausen in 12 hours, and it fermented out with a nice balance of malt cleanliness and subtle English esters. I bought this as a safer choice for shipping in the heat, and I'm impressed enough to use it as a staple for this and other traditional English ales.
Produced a fruity delicious dead ringer type clone. Gave a different citrus profile than 05 or 1056, but was very pleasant all the same.
I know this isn't a good first review on NB for a classic style, but it worked great in an American ale. Wanna try making a citrasue type pale ale with it next. Easy yeast to work with.
