Product details

The ester profile of Juice yeast brings out the aromas and flavors of hops and creates a beer that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Juicy. Fruity. Juice is a strain for East Coast IPAs. The ester profile of Juice brings out the aromas and flavors of hops and creates a beer that is greater than the sum of its parts. It is a true top cropping strain that will climb out of the fermenter. Allow for appropriate headspace or keep an eye on it.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

A38-Juice

I have used this yeast twice now for making hazy IPAs and both times have turned out exceptionally well. I have to say though that this is a pretty active yeast during fermentation so make sure you leave either enough headspace in your fermenter or use a blowoff tube instead of a standard airlock otherwise you very well may wake up to a foaming mess everywhere like I did.

good yeast, expensive service

On the whole the yeast is fine, and works as advertised. Northern Brewer has decided to increase their prices over every other supplier, AND charge a fuel surcharge to skim a little more off their customers. This is my last purchase from them. They are now as bad as the oil companies, posting record profits during a crisis. Thanks for the products guys, best of luck.

Great yeast for NEIPA's

Imperial and Omega are great, DO NOT BUY WYEAST

If you care about things like good tasting beer or yeast that actually does its job, you should buy yeast from Imperial and/or Omega. If you want flat and watery tasting beer, go for Wyeast. Over the past six months, I have brewed eight different beers. Three out of the four times I’ve used Wyeast, it has been an awful disappointment. Every time I’ve used Imperial or Omega, I have had wonderful results.

I used A38 Juice in a NEIPA, and within a day it is already producing a robust Krausen. Stored it at 71 degrees Fahrenheit. Can’t wait to dry hop with this yeast and see what flavors we get.
