LalBrew® Köln Kolsch Style Dry Yeast
LalBrew® Köln is ideal for brewing traditional Kölsch-style beers and other neutral ales. The neutral character of this strain accentuates delicate hop aromas while imparting subtle fruity esters. Through expression of a beta-glucosidase enzyme LalBrew® Köln can promote hop biotransformation and accentuate hop flavor and aroma. Colder fermentations will be more neutral in character, while warmer fermentations will have more fruit-forward ester profile.

Maybe it's just the time of year, but the cooler pack was warm, and the yeast took some extra time to activate.
Once activated, primary fermentation started within 19 hours.
Will definitely order this again
Expect this yeast to take 36 to 48 hours to start. Seems like the manufacturer reccommends pitchi g more than other if their yeasts. For examlke the llamand website reccomends 3 11 g packs for an og 1.048 which is what the NB extract kolsch is. Once it starts it does a good hob and ferments clean. My Kolsch turned out delicious. Due to the cost of pitching 3 packs I gave it a 3 though and will try to barvest this yeast on my bext brew to save $$.
LalBrew dry yeast is an outstanding yeast to use for Kolsch Style beer. I’ve used this brand a number of times and have never been disappointed by it.
best kolsch yeast I've used yet
