Product details

An ale strain isolated from a famous double IPA brewed in Vermont. Produces a unique ester profile reminiscent of peaches. This strain complements an aggressive use of hops. The ideal match for our Off the Topper kit or any other IPA or Double IPA recipe you can dream up.

NOTE: During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Substitute Yeast Performs!

I used this in place of Imperial Yeast A04 Barbarian -- so far, so good. The krausen was impressive and I have high hopes for the beer, which will be bottled in less than a week. Not being an obsessive mad scientist, I will note the differences between the two (as subtle as they may be) but will enjoy drinking the beer with my peeps. Thank you, Northern Brewer!

Even better the second time I brewed it.

I brewed this recipe a few years ago and enjoyed it so I thought I’d give it a second try. It did not disappoint. Sweet and hoppy on the front end with an enjoyable dry finish. Whilst I don’t think The Alchemist should start worrying about my brewing technique this is a very close version of the original. I’d highly recommend it.
