  • Attenuation: 72–78%
  • Alcohol Tolerance: 9-11%

Perfect strain to ferment:

Yeast Disclaimer We strongly recommend ordering dry yeast in the summer months. We do include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeasts. It is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will survive the trip given transit times and particularly hot temperatures.

T58 yeast

I used T58 dry yeast in NB Superior Christmas Ale to add a little more spice to the brew. I brewed it on the lower end of the yeasts temp range. (64.4-78.8). The beer finished as expected but there was an ester flavor that I could not identify at first. It was banana. I’m not sure that that added much to this beer and it was unexpected brewing at the cooler end of the temp range but it is definitely there.

I made a Belgian Dark Strong. Two packets, strong fermentation, great results, as advertised.
