Product details

Beer in full technicolor--clean, crisp and crystal-clear. The BeerBrite System filters out suspended yeast and particulates for startlingly bright beer.

Filtering is used in craft and commercial breweries to give a finishing polish of exceptional clarity. It also aids in the long term stability of the finished beer by removing the yeast.

Designed for use with your existing keg system, the BeerBrite makes filtering easier and less expensive. Reveal the true character of your brew and taste its full profile in ultra-high resolution.

System includes: Filter housing, filter cartridges and tubing connections.

The filter housing connects between 2 kegs, and non-carbonated beer is forced (with CO2) from the first keg, through the filter, and into the second brightkeg. The system includes 2 filter cartridges; a 5.0 micron filter which removes particulates such as hop debris, proteins and trub material that would clog the fine 1.0 micron filter, which removes up to 90% of the yeast. So easy to use; simply connect the 2 ball locks, and turn on the gas - the beer will flow and you will know that your beer is clear.

Works great with our Draft Brewer® Flex System or Draft Brewer® Twin System.

Filtering can also benefit the stability of sweetened Meads and Wine. By removing the yeast altogether, you can reduce the need for additional stabilizers like Potassium Sorbate, which can break down during long term storage. Filter the mead/wine like normal, then bottle directly from the keg.

It's almost perfect

No leaks and it works, but there's 2 things I feel needs changing.
1. Pressure relief valve
2. quick disconnections where the tubes connect to the filter housing. This way, if you want to filter without kegs, say a pusher pump or want to use it to filter wine, you can do it without the needs for kegs and CO2

Not well made

The system works okay at filtering, but the hose clamps used were the wrong size and it leaked like a sieve. I lost a good bit of beer because everything was under pressure. The hose clamps used were clearly marked for the size, and it was the wrong one for that diameter hose.I replaced the hose clamps with the correct size but have not had a chance to use it again. Normally I would never have any need to filter my beer, a neighbor talks me into it.

Just OK

It’s a good filter system it’s just a lot of extra work and time consuming to keep clean and sanitary. Just a simple cold crash accomplishes the same thing.

My review

It does the job. The CO2 does get used up fast. I tried using the pump system instead to save on co2, though it worked it was comber some to setup and clean. The product came out clean. I used just the 1 micron filter for most of my recipes. The two step filter method I used in recipes that had dry hops in it.
