Blichmann Hellfire Floor Burner
Blichmann TopTier burner lit the brewing world on fire in 2009 with the first burner made specifically for the needs of the homebrewer. No wonder it became the best selling and most respected homebrew burner in the market. Never resting, our team of beer Engineers and avid homebrewers just reinvented what a burner should be. Efficient, fast, and versatile. That new burner is appropriately named HellFire!
This dual mode capability burner is unlike anything else on the market and is sure to satisfy all your heating needs. No wonder it is patent pending! This custom made burner is tuned to operate in high efficiency mode, and also in a second high power mode. In the high power mode, you'll be amazed with 140,000BTU/hr output for blazing fast heating - double the power of our previous burner. Waiting for a boil is now a thing of the past. In the high efficiency mode, you'll get 80,000 BTU/hr and superb heat transfer to the wort and whisper quiet operation. Plenty of power to keep a rolling boil on a 20 gal batch of beer. Even our efficiency mode has significantly more power than the competition! To top off all that power we include a patent pending heat shield to keep that massive power off your valve and thermometer and direct it to your wort.
The HellFire stand burner bolts right up to our TopTier Modular Brewing Stand.

Those are my biggest likes. It’s efficient, I get an xtra brew or two from a propane tank compared to my older setup. And it’s sturdy, zero danger of it falling over. Overall love it. It’s my 3rd burner over a decade and definitely my last one! I finally found it.
The Hell Fire has the correct name! This machine is a beast. My brothers and I brewed five 8 gallon batches of stout on the Hell Fire on ONE 20 pound (grill) propane tank. Not only was the flame extremely hot, it didn’t waste fuel. Very fuel efficient! Does Not take long to get a boil going with the Hell Fire and we loved the easy hand control on the hose to control the boil. Very easy to use and very easy to adjust the heat. Thanks!
The burner arrived fast and in good shape. I like it, but I have not yet learned how to operate it best. That is on me not the burner or NB...
I bought this for my husband's birthday after much research. We're not terribly experienced brewers, but the "buy once, cry once" mentality really resonated for us. We have brewed one 5 gallon all grain recipe using this burner so far, and while I can only compare to our stovetop, the boil time was impressive! I also thought this was well-designed - we brewed outside on our far from level patio and this burner was stable and did not have wind issues. We bought the legs, but didn't use them on the first brew - a mistake we will not make again! While the low profile helps with stability and wind, it was a real pain to lift the kettle. We felt like fuel usage was efficient, but don't have much to compare to. Assembly and use was certainly intuitive and easy, though it's not exactly an advanced piece of machinery. I would definitely recommend and am glad we spent the money to have something nice and easy to use from the get-go.
It’s a great element, seems very robust. With first cook galvanized coating peeled up like a defect.
It was fast, very very heat power, it takes 30minutes to take water from 19C to 75C, pretty much faster than my home stove.
When goes to cook phase, very powerful boiling, I had evaporated 1 gallon in 1 hour due to power.
Is an outside use product, I tried to start it inside my house, but it produced a lot of CO2, an my home Keep some time smelling like that! Read instructions first.
So, I test today in my brew day, and in my town we had today gusty winds, and it makes a little unstable this burner, and yellow flame intimidated me. I solved using some plates to block fast air moves.
The only detail that find no pretty, was galvanized coating.
