Well, honestly as a cheese press, we're not happy with it. I can get more whey out with my hands; so what's the point?
We are returning it. Real pain in the butt for me, turning little wing nuts... what was I thinking?
This is my first real cheese press, so I have nothing else to compare it to, but I can't imagine a better one. It is very easy to use, looks fantastic sitting on my counter, and is beautifully made. Soon, I hope to purchase a second one. I highly recommend!
I received this within a week of ordering. There are not any instructions inside the box. I will contact seller on Monday to find out why. I had read the reviews from other buyers and that made my decision to get one of these for my cheese making adventures. I have dairy goats and love to get the wonderful milk for making everything under the sun with it. Oh, well. I wish that this seller would include instructions. I will post again after I contact seller with an update. :-)
Works great and is a great press for the price. The pressure can be difficult to estimate but with a little practice and you will be well on your way to making amazing hard cheese.
it works fine for what I am doing with it, however I'm not really a fan of the plastic cap. I spent the extra for the all stainless version for sanitation reason and I expected it to be all stainless or at the very least all the portions that touch my cheese be stainless but its not.
