Works well

I like it only 4 stars because it is a bit cumbersome and would have like it wider but I have to say I used it with a small Gouda mold and it did work. Also I have another couple mold's that should work as well. Next cheese I will use this as it came in the box and see but I am positive it will be fine.

Okay for the price

I used it on a 2 gal batch of Colby. Only fit by putting the side rods at their max limit and the top cross plate above the mold cylinder. As the cheese pressed down I was able to set the pieces where they belonged.

Wished it had more drain holes. Whey oozed out the top around the follower plate. As much as drained from the bottom. I might take a drill to it and add some holes in the mold cylinder. And wish it had more springs so the pressure wouldn't let off so fast with whey loss. Don't think it can be adapted for that. Had to just keep adjusting the screw to keep the proper estimated pressure.

If you are mechanically inclined you can make it work. If not, you should consider a different type of press.

not a workable press

Base curves under minor pressure holes in base are useless whey comes out every place but the bottom

I like it.

By which i mean it works even though i dropped it a few times, threw it in a softcase luggage on a budget airline flying internationally with books and shoes, put it together wrong and lost the manual.

Like, if i haven't killed it yet, i'm pretty sure that's the manufacturer's plan.

Also the Customer Service people were really helpful when I got all Luddite on the ordering confirmation.

MECHANICAL, THE SLOT LEVEL DONT MATCH EASILY!!!!
THE SPRING HOLDERS SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT DIAMETERS
