I love these bags. I almost always do a mixed extraction / extract brewing. I find that when I get approximately 1/2 of my desired carbs from my malted grain, put through my mill, and then I step extract like in the old days; I get greater complexity in the wort and final product. I have a 50 gallon mush tun, and the bag fits nicely into it and allows for a casual calm extraction and sparge. I placed a hoist on a joist above the pot and easily remove and drain the bag. I like what the bag allows; a fair amount of milled grain to be extracted. The bag holds most particulates in so once I didn't place my false bottom in the pot. The direct propane heat on the pot melted the bottom of the bag; other then that one time, the bags are excellent.
The stitch work is awesome. Strong. Worked like a charm. Thanks
Good heavy-duty bag. Easy to lift with the loops. A few grains got trapped in the seams, but no big deal.
This works great. I put a hook in the garage on the ceiling for lifting it. Much more flavorful brews with the all grain.
