Product details

LalBrew® New England is an ale strain selected specifically for its ability to produce a unique fruit forward ester profile desired in East Coast styles of beer. A typical fermentation with LalBrew® New England will produce tropical and fruity esters, notably stone fruits like peach. Through the expression of a beta-glucosidase enzyme, LalBrew® New England can promote hop biotransformation and accentuate hop flavor and aroma. LalBrew® New England exhibits medium to high attenuation with medium flocculation, making it a perfect choice for East Coast style ales.

  • Beer Styles: NEIPA, east coast style ales
  • Aroma: fruity, especially tropical and stone fruits
  • Fermentation Temperature Range: 59 - 72°F
  • Optimum Temp: 66°-70° F
  • Attenuation: Medium - High
  • Flocculation: Medium
  • Alcohol Tolerance: 9% ABV

Fruit bazooka yeast

1st time using Lal brew yeast. Another winner from Northern Brewer! All you NEIPA fans will not be disappointed. Good and hazy!

Great yeast in small packages.

Over the years, I have ordered my yeast from NB and have been very happy with the efficacy of the various strains received. Will continue to order my yeast from NB. Thanks

Be patient with this yeast, you’ll get great results!

This one works slower than the other Premium Lallemand ale yeast offerings. So don’t get worried if the initial phase is slow to show signs of activity. And keep it in your fermenter longer for it to finish up. If you do, it’ll be worth it. Produces a great NEIPA especially. Bottom line: if you need a quick turnaround, use their verdant IPA yeast or the Voss Kveik. But if you’re cool with 1.5-2 weeks in fermenter, this is a great great yeast.

Great Yeast

I love this yeast, used it with my Fruit Bazooka IPA and the fermentation was very active. Had to switch to a blow-off tube because it was so active.
