Standard Carboy Handle - 3/5/6/6.5 gallon glass carboys
Handle for use on 3, 5, 6 and (non-acid style) 6.5 gallon glass carboys. Clamps beneath lip and reduces the danger of dropping a wet carboy. Carboy handles are not meant to support the weight of a full carboy; the neck of the carboy could break. Always carry a full carboy by supporting it from the bottom.
Lifting/moving carboys around especially if full is always a tricky operation. They're heavy. Being able to hold on to a secure handle makes the chore easier and safer. Never use the handle alone to lift the carboy. Use your other hand to support some/most of its weight.
I buy one of these for every large batch of mead I make. 3 gal gets set aside for bulk aging and the rest gets bottled. Solid simple carboy at a good price. My latest order had a slightly irregular mouth, but the breathable silicon bung doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Speaking of, why don't you sell those, NB?
Arrived unbroken... that’s all I ask... thanks
The carboy handle received is a durable product. Once mounted it does not sit on the plastic carboy dryer correctly and I need to prop it up in a corner. So this comes down the the R&D department to solve by providing a carboy dryer that works with their carboy handle. Beyond that I am enjoying the new hobby of learning how to craft beer with products from Norhern Brewer.
