Vintner's Harvest Black Currant
Black currant juice concentrate, 96 oz can; no added sugar or sulfite.
This is a component in the Curt Stock melomel recipe which I have made about a dozen times now. Two cans have contained black currant fruit and twigs (approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of the can was fruit and twigs). Clearly, I paid for the dregs. You may want to use a double-mesh fine strainer. Although there were a lot of fruit and twigs at those times, the berry mead still turned out well.
Used blackcurrant to finish my blueberry wine gave it lots of flavor will use again
This is the first time I've worked with this Black Currant base. I mixed it with the blueberry wine that I started earlier and I added some of the Elderberry base too. Outrageous!
This is amazingly well balanced when made at the full body strength. Have to get more!! At 1 yr it really shines!
