This famous German style is stronger than an everyday lager and is the fuel for Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world. The original pre-industrial Oktoberfest was called Märzenbier, brewed at the end of the brewing season in the spring to be lagered in caves all summer for fall and harvest festivities. Our kit will give you a full-bodied and elegant red-amber beer with a subdued German noble hop bitterness and complex malty profile that great all year round.

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

I prefer Oktoberfests that are malty and not clear yellow so this one is just the right one for me.

I am 1 month in on secondary fermentation. I am using a Lutra yeast so it can ferment at a warmer temp as I cannot reach 40-50 degrees. (Yeast recommended by NB) I have faith they steered me in the right direction
