Brewing for 30 yrs on and off now, many moves and several kids, grad school. About time to go to kegs now and it’s been great.
Everything looks and works awesome......except the hook up to my tap handles. The system comes with the plastic “high school keg party” tap and I knew that. What I did not know is that the line from the corny keg to the tap is 3/16 and the tail piece for the tap handles is 1/4. I probably should have known but it would have been nice to offer the tap with the kegs at an added price. Everything else was freaking AWESOME AS USUAL!!!!!
Me likey!! Thanks Northern Brewer!
My wife surprised me with this for Christmas. I went out the next day and brewed a batch up to keg for the first time. After kegging I couldn't get my regulator to maintain a constant pressure it goes up and down constantly I have checked every spot for leaks and found none. After reading the reviews for this and just the regulator I see I am not the only one with that problem which is a shame. The kegs are great though will just keep playing with it till I can get a new regulator.
retightenedretightenedAfter my wife got sick and tired of cleaning and sanitizing bottles, I was informed that if I were to continue with this hobby that I would have to take up kegging. I knew if I was going to keg, I'd want the ability to run at least two kegs at once. I also like a variety of styles so I wanted the ability to control the PSI in both kegs. This system is the answer. It works great! One recommendation, make sure the "washers" are in correctly and your connections are fairly tight. Test with soapy water. My first 5 pound canister was empty within a week. Not sure where the leak was but I retightened everything and made sure all washers were in place. No more problems. Also, for anyone concerned with how well they are packed...did I mention I live in Brazil? Boxes were well packed and made it to me in excellent shape. Also can be easily adapted to work with a kegerator. You can either remove the picnic taps and attach or attach your existing lines to a liquid ball lock disconnect that you should be able to pick up for less than $10.
