Ultratap Stainless Steel Forward Sealing Beer and Wine Faucet
UltraTap: No sticking. No turbulence. Just perfect pours, every time.
From the inventor of the original Intertap comes Ultratap: the very latest in forward-sealing, laminar flow faucets.
Ratchet up the anticipation. Ultratap’s patented, laser-precision manufacturing techniques ensure the best pour on the market. This newly-engineered, forward-sealing faucet keeps your beer fresher and won’t leave a residue on the inside of the tap. The unique internal design, featuring ultra smooth surfaces and a perfectly-honed horizontal piston, minimizes micro eddies in the liquid’s flow and prevents uneven wear and tear on internal o-rings.
When serving up a perfect pint, your faucet makes all the difference: the speed of the pour, the fragrant collar of foam. Standard back-sealing faucets stick and corrode over time, which ruins the pour, and thus the overall drinking experience…before it’s even begun.
Strength in simplicity. Solid stainless steel construction. Fewer parts than other forward-sealing faucets.
Each Ultratap includes black economy-style tap handle

I have two of these and was very happy with them at first. Good, clean pours, and never have to worry about them sticking. However, consistent with the mixed reviews that I am reading here, one of mine works absolutely perfectly, while the other one has always been a bit finicky and tricky to get closed after a pour. I have just had to be careful and hold it closed for a few seconds and watch it closely for drips before walking away. However, despite my best efforts, I had an incident recently where it stayed ever so slightly open and it dripped for 24 hours. Came home from work, and found the drip tray was full, and it had run down the side of the kegerator and I had beer all over the floor. For reference, I probably only lost about 2 pints of beer, which tells you how slowly it leaks and how difficult it is to monitor.
I like it less waste.
Sucks. Opened on its own, put 4.5gallons of Ace of Spades all over the floor and carpet.
I have a kegerator with dual taps. I recently kegged a barleywine and replaced the existing tap with this Ultratap. If I go a few days without pouring a beer, the old tap sticks and I have to force it for the first pour. This Ultratap pours smoothly and easily every time. I am a very satisfied customer.
