I brewed this for a coworker and didn’t know what to expect. The SCOBY arrived frozen (-20F that day here). Was questioning its viability. Followed directions and it turned out just fine. There is enough tea provided to brew 6-8 batches depending on strength you want. I made 6 and ran out of sugar. Batch 7 I used corn sugar and brown sugar. It turned out great. I couldn’t get it to carbonate in the bottle. One batch I added Fizz drops to see if that worked. It did not carbonate but did grow a little SCOBY in the bottle. Didn’t affect flavor but looked bad. I made the final batch and force carbonated in a cannonball keg, then bottled. That worked great. The SCOBY is in my freezer now. I’ll experiment with it again. You’ll get about 8 gals if Booch out of this kit so worth every penny.
Easy, fool proof project. Enough supplies for several batches if you save your scoby.
Looks good so far, Only 1 week into the process and all is doing well.
Easy to make! Kind of hard to keep it warm so it can work!Bottle it today!
