I give a 4 rating simply because its not 100% wheat and that wait I want. Ok, first I've been an "all grain"person making Belgian triple ales since I started brewing years ago. I thought id try something diff so I got this LME. Its a 60/40 split of barley/wheat. In all grain production too much wheat really clogs the screen during the sparging operation so if I use it it is usually only a pound or so. But using this LME I'm able to increase the % of wheat without worrying about a clog (which really sucks and very time consuming). I've made my own recipe I call a farm ale because I try to use all the diff grains in the recipe. Oat, barley, corn, rye, wheat etc etc. Anyway I definitely recommend this LME and to use 6 lb. per 5 gal batch. One of my next batches/recipe is to try a dark wheat ale. Like a SRM of 6 or more.
This LME opens the door to a totally diff taste sensation that I'm lookin forward too.
