Old Vine Cab Sauv w/Skins (6G) Wine Kit - Master Vintner Sommelier Select
The very best winemakers in the world know that exceptional wine starts in the vineyard, with the perfect combination of sunlight, soil, rain and careful cultivation. Crafting your own signature wines to that very same standard starts here...with Sommelier Select Wine Recipe Kits, exclusively from Master Vintner.
The oldest vines (between 60 and 80 years) produce fruit unlike any other. And this Cabernet Sauvignon Recipe Kit features ingredients sourced at the peak of varietal expression, to bring out stupefying levels of fruit and extract. The blackberry, blackcurrant and jammy notes give way to pepper, mint, cedar and black cherry. Dense and dark, with rock-ribbed tannins when young, it will round out to a smooth lustrous finish that goes on forever at its peak.
Sommelier Select Old Vine Cabernet includes grape skins* in the kit. Grape Skins are an excellent addition to wine kits. Not only do they enhance body, mouth-feel and tannin, they also boost color, flavor and aroma. All of the red juices are macerated in their wineries to get the most out of the skins, but adding an extra dose of skin material turns up the volume on the wine character.
Toast the moments that matter with Sommelier Select, and make deliciously drinkable wines that you're going to love sharing with family and friends.
Yield: 6 Gallons
*This recipe kit uses a RealGrape pack to boost flavor and body. Because the grape skins are not dried, they take up more space in your fermentor. This recipe requires the larger 7.9 gallon wine fermentor.

This wine kit is the literal shit. super easy to start and I was even able to even get hammered when I went to test it after 4 days! The Mutherfuker was already like %8 booze! It tasted like sparkling grape drink from heaven, or Mount Olympus... Bachus probably drank something like this whilst getting head from mortal bitches!
This is the third time we have made this Cab Sauv and it is just excellent. It has a lovely cherry start and a very smooth and vibrant finish. Make sure and top it off with a good bottle of wine rather than a cheap one so as to not degrade its excellence; and blend it well to help with the clarification process. We found we can start drinking this wine one month after bottling but found it is best if you let is sit for 1 year. The flavor will improve further the longer it sits but we have not managed to let it sit longer than 4 years because it is that good.
Great product. Will buy again...soon!
Absolutely love the large volume dense grape skin slurry. Beats the dried grape skins offered by other kits.
New to making wine... I bought a wine making kit along with the Sommelier cab wine kit. Well to make a long story short by the time i put the grape skins along the grape juice it did not fit into the fermenting 6 galon big bubbler plastic jug. Otherwise good kit so far
