Silver Cloud Flavor Extracts for Craft Beer, Wine & Mead - 2 oz.
Silver Cloud flavoring is meant for use during the time of bottling beer, wine, or mead. The most common recommended starting dosage level on flavorings is 0.15% to 0.3% in most beverages, which is 25 ml to 60 ml (0.9 oz. to 2 oz.) in a 5-gallon batch. We recommend adding small amounts to start, thoroughly blend and taste until the desired homebrew flavor is achieved.
Commercial Breweries, distilleries, wineries, and professional craft brewers throughout North America use Silver Cloud Flavoring Extract line in some of their best-selling products. Silver Cloud Flavoring Extract line includes citrus, spice and herb, berry, orchard fruit, melon, tropical fruit, floral, nut, and sweet dessert flavors for use in light or dark beers. Each flavor is kosher and TTB-approved.

I bought 2 bottles of the extract due to past experience with a different company but the second was not needed. The flavor started out very subtle but after bottle aging for 3 weeks the flavor really jumped. For coffee beer lovers who want a little hazelnut "ZING" I highly recommend it.
I used the Strawberry flavor extract to make a Strawberry Blonde ale using a pilsner malt extract as the base. I toned down the hops in my typical hoppy blonde ale recipe (for an estimated IBU of 20.5) to allow the fruit flavor to shine through. Turned out to be a fabulous summer brew. The guidelines suggest that you can use 1/3 up to the full 2 oz. bottle on a 5-gallon batch. I wanted a distinct strawberry flavor, so I went with the full bottle. The result was not overpowering, but just right in my opinion. The beer has a distinct stawberry flavor, although my wife could only identify a berry flavor in a blind tasting, not specifically strawberry. To me, it's definitely strawberry. You could go with a half bottle if you want a subtler fruit flavor (or if you want to economize), or with 1/3 bottle if you want just a hint of fruit. I used 1 lb. of SRM 20 crystal malt to give my beer just a bit of extra body and a hint of residual sweetness. Highly recommended.
Good flavor, not overwhelming, used double and still didnt overpower.
Tried a pastry stout as my wife like them. Was fairly easy to do and result was fabulous. Just a little flavor extract was needed and it provided a nice touch.
works and tastes good
