Still working

The mead is in the secondary fermentation jar, a month into the journey to drinkable.
When I added the first packet of yeast nutrient on day two I poured it into the primary fermentation jar and I then ‘enjoyed’ a geyser of not-yet mead erupting out of the jar. For the next two days I mixed the nutrient in water before adding it to the jar. Yeast continued to work, albeit slowly for a month at which point I siphoned the mead into the secondary fermentation jar.

Best smelling yeast strain I've used

Right from opening the pack there was a pleasant smell that I hadn't expected. This yeast was used in a tart cherry Mead and after transferring to the secondary the yeast definitely added to the sweetness, not the bready taste that I expected. Will definitely be using this strain again.

Still aging the mead, but fermentation and clarity are progressing great
