Wyeast 4184 Sweet Mead
Wyeast 4184 Sweet Mead yeast is one of two strains for sweet mead making. Leaves 2-3% residual sugar in most meads. Rich, fruity profile complements fruit-mead fermentation. Use additional nutrients for mead making. Ciders, Cysers, Fruit Wines, Ginger Ale, Cherry, Raspberry, Peach. Temperature Range: 60-75 F. Alcohol Tolerance: 11%.
The yeast got off to a slower start then I thought, but I realized my basement was down to 60 F. Put on my heater, brought it up to 66 to 68 F, and BOOM, got going great. In the secondary now, and still have some activity. But not a worry, as I won't be drinking it for another 10 months.

I’m pleased with the results. I like using sweet champagne yeasts for my meads.
I’m very impressed & plan on experimenting with this yeast in a couple different mead recipes.
