Omega Yeast 004 Omega West Coast Ale I
Clean, crisp flavor characteristics with low fruitiness and mild ester production. A very versatile yeast for styles that desire dominant malt and hop character. This proven performer from California has become a very popular "house" strain. May yield citrus notes with cooler 60-66°F fermentations. Use for pale ales, IPA, cream ales, or other american styles.
*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

I originally ordered this in early June right before a spike in temperature. I read the worming about ordering liquid yeast in the summer months. The dry yeast would not give me the results I wanted with the dragon silk I was planning on brewing. The yeast arrived in early June in a package that has a low insulating factor and just one ice pack for two bags of yeast. I was very disappointed in how it was packaged. You could try a little harder or if you don’t want to give it your best effort you should not offer liquid yeast from the end of May to the end of September. I received two bags of yeast blown up like balloons and one melted ice pack. How difficult would it have been to double bag the package and add another ice pack. Very disappointed in your effort!
This is my first time to try Omega Yeast and probably the last. Now its possible some perished in delivery. So for now its just best to get liquid yeast from a local distributor in the summer.
It died in shipping in the Texas heat so don't really know. My fault for ordering liquid yeast during the summer.
I didn't get any extra $ results with this. Wyeast West Coast Yeast would have been a great substitute .
You will get a stronger and longer fermentation with a liquid yeast. Plus a larger selection. And try the stir plate.
