Worked well Nice hoppy summer beer.
Excellent summer brew, kettle to tap in 20 days with stir starter. Very active fermentation at 50-60 degree range with a yield of 5 1/2 gallons at 3.8 abv. Light but good Pilsner
I brewed this (currently on tap) and it is one of the best kits I have bought and made from NB. I went by the directions but added 1lb lactose and 1/2 lb of flaked oats for a little more sweetness and head retention. I definitely think another round or two of CITRA hops in dry hop would pop this to another level.
I would also think that adding some orange or tangerine peels would really intensify the flavor and aroma. I am also thinking the next time I brew this to follow some of Daniel Star's alterations as it sounded pretty intriguing.
I brewed this in Clawhammer's 120v System. I hit all gravity readings as well.
Just an overall fantastic brew. I will definitely be doing this again and using the Kveik yeast strains as I am having spectacular results using that strain and who doesn't like a beer in less than 10 days from grain to glass!!!
Have gotten several recipe kits (and other miscellaneous supplies) from Northern Brewer and each one has been well-received by family and friends. Easy peasy order, delivery, and brew day.
I like this kit.
