Product details

If you're an All-Grain brewer, water pH is crucial for your brew. Having the correct pH in your mash and sparge water helps reduce the chance of off-flavors, improves conversion, and ensures optimal yeast health in the fermentation. But paper test strips can be maddening.

This is the same pH meter as the pH56 model, but with a lower resolution (0.1 pH) and a more affordable price tag.

Range of -2 to 16 pH and 32° to 122°F. 0.1°F resolution and +/- 0.1 pH and 1°F accuracy. Automatic single- or double-point calibration and automatic temperature correction from 32° to 122°F.

Further bells and whistles are a large digital display, auto power-off, replaceable electrode, and a hold feature that allows you to remove the probe from the solution to more easily read the display.

Frequent calibration will ensure you always have the most accurate read on your water.

Included 1.5V batteries provide approx. 300 hours of use (automatic calibration uses more power than manual calibration).

Includes one set of calibration solution sachets.

Additional sachets are available in both 4.01 and 7.01 buffer solutions. Solutions are also available in 220 ml bottles.

Please note that electrodes must be rinsed after use and stored in electrode storage solution to ensure proper function of the meter. Storage solution is available in 230 ml bottles.

Great Meter, Awkward Storage

Functionally the pH meter is flawless for a home brewer. Easy to operate and calibrate and has consistent accuracy. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because it provides no convenient means of storage for the probe. The only cap it comes with is not water tight and has a rounded bottom so you would still have to keep it in a cup or jar. Would be nice if it came with a water tight cap that would hold storage solution on the probe for more convenient storage.

It works good as expected for the price. You must soak it before use and store it in storage solution between uses so make sure you also order storage solution when purchasing this meter. I also store my meter inside the included cap with storage solution to prevent evaporation like others have suggested. The cap is slightly rounded for some reason so you will need something like a coffee cup to hold it upright while storing it between use.
