Use it for chilling my Gigwort 2 1/2 gallon batches. Works very fast and fits the kettle nicely.
Gets the wort down to 80 degrees in 15-20 mins
I typically brew 3-4 gallon batches using a GigaWort electric kettle. This successfully chills my wort to 80F from a boil in around 20-30 minutes depending on the wort density and how cold the water from my hose is. Greatly streamlined my entire setup and is probably one of the most important pieces of gear I have purchased for brewing.
Use in a 5 gallon bucket with ice which is connected to the primary chiller in the mash tun. Florida tap water never gets cool, so this double System Gets some cooler water to the hot mash. Sturdy piece, no issues.
This little tool is the bomb! Well worth the cash money.
