Super strong

I made two starters to join with the tropic wheatwine beer from Northern Brewer. I used a fast pitch starter in each starter and boy did that stuff smell like fruit juice! Two hours after pitching the yeast the airlock was flowing hard and the krausen was up at the airlock. By 10 days the airlock was still more active than most 7% beers I make. I’m currently 10 days into secondary and it’s still doing 4-5 bubbles a minute. I’ll let you know how the beer tastes but it smells glorious. I didn’t get all the sulphur smell that other reviewers stated. This may be due to the fast pitch starter? I’m not sure. I’ll have to check back in when it’s time to drink.

Great Stuff

Made a 1L starter and split between 2, 5 gallon batches. Exact finish desired.

Love It

Very nice alternative to WLP001 - I don't mind the sulfur smell at all, which dissipates eventually anyway, prob will be my house yeast from now on.
