Product details

A dry fermenting, true top cropping yeast which produces a dry, slightly tart, crisp beer, in American hefeweizen style. Apparent attenuation: 74-78%. Flocculation: low. Optimum temp: 58°-74° F

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Successful Raspberry Wheat

Worked great in a Raspberry Wheat with 3lbs. of fresh raspberries. Produced a slightly tart, but crisp beer. A little dry on the finish, but worked well with the style. Fermentation took off quick and lasted a full week (plus another two days in the secondary when I added the berries). Held my temp. between 64-66 degrees F. Will definitely use this yeast again for future fruit & wheat beers.

Pumpkin Wheat

I used this to make a clone of Shipyard Pumpkinhead. I also added to the recipe 10# roasted pumpkin. This thing bubbled like crazy. Day 2 I had to put a blow off tube on it. This is still in the secondary and I am anxiously awaiting my first taste of this fall adult beverage!
